Overview

The XO Usage Reporting system allows you to track and monitor your end-user usage with your XO Dial Service. This tool will show you the detail behind your XO invoice (which summarizes your usage with your service). The graphs, which are auto-scaled according to the range of simultaneous unique users and time range selected, are based on a linear scale. For your convenience, you may view your usage by day, week, or month using any of the three reports:  Network Users, Summary of Network Users, or a Detailed Usage Report.

·         Network Users allows you to view the number of simultaneous unique users.  It will also provide a graph of simultaneous users over time.

·         Summary of Network Users allows you to view the total number of sessions,  hours, and the number of unique user IDs per day.

·         Detailed Usage Report allows you to view session counts and session hours per day per unique user ID.

fig. 1.1 is an example of a Network Users Report graph of Simultaneous Users.

Downloading Data and CSV Files

A CSV file is a comma-delimited text file.  It can be opened by numerous applications including almost all text editors, spreadsheets, Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.  This format should be easy to import and use in your own applications or documents. You will notice in CSV files, the heading 'user count'; this is the approximate number of unique user IDs logged during the given time period.  If you view a CSV file for a calendar day, the data will be broken down into five minute intervals. Here is an example of such a file that in this case is being displayed in Internet Explorer. (fig. 1.3).
